  Oh, yes, and I meant to say that by these kind, gentle, reasonable words, said by him, that doesn't it just show Jehovah's love and reasonableness? And how we mustn't judge? So loving.... And we all so imperfect, after all.

  Yet don't you dare question us! And follow everything we say or else you will lose your whole family and friends and be forever shunned and considered as dead until you acknowledge our supremacy and authority and totally believe our claim that God is speaking to ONLY US and that only we, through divine communication and approval, have the truth!   Maybe, Faye, it's because they're becoming more and more like the Catholic Church themselves! Ugh, it irks me to no end, their duplicity and double talk!!

  I really think Splane is the new Franz. I think he's the one behind the new songs and much of the new doctrine and new light. I could be wrong on this, of course. Who the heck knows.

  But he's really big on himself and I think he has an even more arrogant sneer and evil eyes than Morris & Lett put together. I've been watching him closely and he's really a piece of work. He was our circuit overseer for awhile and at the time I thought he was fabulous, so spiritual, so loving, so earnest, blah blah blah. His wife a quiet woman in the background. He got all the glory and honour and applause. Now he gets it on a much larger scale, and I think it's going to his head. To all of their heads, actually! Jerks. Pompous bastards.

  Bah! I must get out and enjoy some sunshine.

  They really are like pigs, aren't they. Gluttonous and devouring, even devouring the houses of widows.... And so Orwellian, more and more so as the days go by. I must read Animal Farm again. Orwell's "1984" is almost a perfect description of them, but so is Animal Farm. But Animal Farm is a sadder read for me, probably because he used such sweet, innocent, trusting animals..... much like the way the bOrg mis-uses such sweet, innocent, trusting children and people....

  Oooh, it would also be great to list ALLLL the reasons they said "excommunication" was a vile, hateful thing unscripturally practiced by the Catholic Church in a 1957 Awake article. Maybe that should be under a different post if anybody has access to that article? I am on my iPad but it is on my computer somewhere....

  these questions were answered at the annual meeting held on october 1, 1971. on that occasion, one of the speakers pointed out that the governing body of the faithful and discreet slave preceded the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania by hundreds of years.

  They haven't a friggin clue. They are making it up as they go. They are just mere mortal men, stumbling along in their ways, as lost and confused and not having all the answers as anybody, except that they pretend they do have all the answers.

  Bumbling arrogant fools, making rules for everybody and they haven't got a friggin clue about who they are even supposed to be, except that they want to be leaders of men.

  Oh boy, it's really hard not to swear on this forum sometimes. I find I turn the air blue most frequently when I talk about the GB and this stupid religion/cult.

  as most of you are aware there is a money issue inside of jw land.

  they could be running out of money or they're just wanting more.

  either way, they are making it appear as a funds issue to motivate individuals to donate more.

  Hahaha, I remember being confused about donating what to which box long before it became even more confusing, lol. There used to be talks about which box did what and where it went, so I guess I wasn't the only confused person. And that was the "simple" donation(s) arrangement, haha.

  WT April 15, 2015... Odd first paragraph

  flipping thru the pages of the april 15 wt study edition, i bumped into something that strikes me as odd.

  not that the wt never publishes odd things, but usually such comes in the form of misapplied scripture or hidden second meanings.

  i've never paid attention before but to me this is the first time i see a whole paragraph with no bible verses to read.. in the article tiled "always trust in jehovah!

  It almost sounds like the WT writers are going to Wikipedia for their research on WT articles.....
